Wrap Around Service and Holiday Care
Excel Child Care Services offers both full day care and funded nursery education to all children aged from 3 to 5 years. Our nurseries have close links to local schools.Wrap Around Service and Holiday Care. This allows us to share experiences and ensure children are ready for school when they leave us.
We offer the same educational opportunities under the EYFS as other providers on a staff ratio of 1 to 8. We understand that some parents wish to use local schools or school nurseries, we can support this with our Wrap Around Care.
What is Wraparound Care?
‘Wrap around care’ is most usually referred to as child care that wraps around a child’s local authority pre education and nursery pre school. It is offered before or after the funded sessions and allows parents and carers to extend their children’s hours.
It can also enable parents complete training or take part in other interests and activities, knowing their child is able to be cared for safely.
What are the benefits of Nursery Wrap Around Care?
- Our service enables children to attend their chosen school from 3 years old even if their parents work or study.
- Children can make their school friends early, making their transition into reception class much easier.
- All children from 3-8 years are able to benefit from the use of childcare from 7.30 am-6.30pm, Monday to Friday (by special arrangement we do offer the extended hours.)
- Children who attend the After school club may attend the setting along with their older siblings.
- The Wraparound care is Ofsted registered enabling parents to claim up to 70% of their child care fees back through Tax Credits.
- All of our ‘Out of School’ and full day care settings work in close partnership with your child’s school.
- Full time, part time vacancies for children aged 3 months to 5 years and wrap around service available.
We collect your child from the local school after half day attendance there, we give them lunch and look after them until you collect at 6pm.
Most noteworthy is that we offer your child a light snack and help them with any homework and reading – as a result, this is completed and their home journal is all signed off leaving you extra time to spend quality time with your child when you get home.
