Many schools and businesses had to be closed this week as the temperature dropped as low as =-15
It simply wasn’t safe to be out there.
This was fantastic news for the children and those who felt young at heart as the sledges flew off the shelves and parents armed themselves with the wonderful gliding seat.
Parks were filled with parents taking the opportunity of an impromptu day with their children and in a bid to keep them entertained, You could hear the squeals of delight as many children were actually seeing snow for the first time.
Babies were wondering what the cold white flakes were which stung their tongues when they stuck their tongues out and it melted just like ice cream. It was fun for many although the news streams did not just share the fun parts of the adverse weather – there were many areas in Uk which were unreachable as the snow had impacted on their ability to move around in the streets
