The Toddler Room Daily Schedule :
**8:00 AM – Welcome, Breakfast & Social Time**
Greetings! Children engage in play and enjoy breakfast if needed, kicking off their day at Excel Childcare Services, Bell Meadow.
**9:00 AM – 9:45 AM – Free Play**
Toddlers explore Small World Play, fostering understanding of the world. They delve into dolls houses, farm yards, and zoo scenarios, promoting personal and social development through communication and play.
**9:45 AM – 10:15 AM – Tidy up, Song Time & Washing Hands**
Cleanup time leads to singing favourite songs like ‘Incy Wincy Spider’ and ‘Wind the Bobbin Up.’ A story, such as ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt,’ precedes handwashing in preparation for snack.
**10:15 AM – 10:30 AM – Snack Time**
Mid-morning snack encourages social interactions.
**10:30 AM – 10:45 AM – Circle Time**
Seated in a circle, children engage in activities like counting using blocks, enhancing their mathematical learning per the EYF.
**10:45 AM – 11:15 AM – Activities**
Dynamic activities like painting, mark-making, and messy play, such as the joyful jelly play, stimulate fine motor skills and sensory exploration.
**11:15 AM – 11:45 AM – Outdoor Play**
Daily outdoor adventures include trikes, and play equipment, fostering physical development and social interactions.
**11:45 AM – 12:00 PM – Tidy up & Wash Hands**
A swift tidy-up precedes handwashing, leading the way to lunch.
**12:00 PM – 12:30 PM – Lunch Time**
Hot, nutritious meals are shared with friends and siblings, prepared from scratch by our Cook.
**12:30 PM – 2:00/2:30 PM – Nap Time**
Quiet nap time, tailored to individual needs, ensures a peaceful break. Awake children engage in activities in a separate room.
**2:30 PM – 3:30 PM – Activities**
After waking up and brushing teeth, children partake in activities, like painting book characters for World Book Day, promoting ‘Expressive Arts & Design.’
**3:45 PM – 4:15 PM – Tea**
A balanced meal followed by fruit and yogurt. Today’s tea: chicken fried rice with alternatives for allergies & dietary needs.
**4:15 PM – 4:30 PM – Circle Time & Home Time**
After Circle Time, toddlers engage in free play until parents arrive, fostering group play and quiet time with books.

At Excel Child Care Services, we provide an enriched implementation of the EYFS curriculum meticulously crafted by our in-house education team. Our modules are customised for every developmental stage, incorporating Makaton, a STEM program, dedicated art sessions, and well-being activities.
What Qualifications Do Your Staff Have?
At Excel Child Care Services, our staff’s qualifications vary from Apprentices and level 2 and 3 qualified practitioners to degree level managers. Our in house recruitment team select the best candidates and we grow our talent with many practitioners starting off as Apprentices and progressing up to senior management roles within our nurseries.
Do You Cater For Any Dietary Requirements
Our meals are prepared by our chef at the nursery. So we can cater to any dietary needs your child may have
Can I Bring My Own Food
Regrettably, in adherence to our allergens and cross-contamination policies, external food is not permitted. This measure is in place to uphold strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
Do The Children Go Outside Regularly
Yes, the children play outside at least twice a day, this is more frequent during the summer months.
What Are Your Staff To Child Ratio?
Under 2’s the ratio is 1:4, for every 4 children there is 1 member of staff 2-3 years old the ratio is 1:4 3+ it is a 1:8 ratio
