Your Funding Options

We accept a variety of funding options to provide your child with childcare. The government has various schemes in order to help parents, careers and working families.

If you need some help just give the nursery a call and we can certainly help.

Vouchers

Making Childcare More Affordable for Your Family

At Excel Child Care Services, we know that choosing the right nursery is a big decision—both emotionally and financially. That’s why we’re committed to supporting families through a range of government-backed childcare payment schemes that help make your childcare more affordable.

We proudly accept a wide range of childcare voucher providers and support the government’s Tax-Free Childcare scheme, helping to reduce your costs while your child enjoys our nurturing and high-quality early years education. What Payment Schemes Do We Accept?

We currently accept:

  • Childcare Vouchers from employers (through providers such as Edenred, Fideliti, Computershare, Care-4, Sodexo, and more)

  • Tax-Free Childcare accounts (via gov.uk)

  • Funded Early Years Education (15 & 30 hour places for 2, 3, and 4-year-olds — see our Funding Page for more)

  • Direct Payments through Universal Credit or Working Tax Credit (upon arrangement)

These payment methods can be used to cover:

  • Full or part nursery fees

  • Top-up charges on funded places

  • Holiday and wraparound care

What Are Childcare Vouchers?

Childcare vouchers were part of a salary sacrifice scheme available through participating employers (now closed to new applicants). If you joined the scheme before October 2018, you can still use your vouchers with us.

Here’s how it works:

  • Vouchers are taken from your pre-tax salary, reducing the amount of tax and National Insurance you pay.

  • You can save up to £933 per year, per parent (more if both parents claim).

  • You can continue using vouchers for as long as your employer offers the scheme and your child is eligible.

What Is Tax-Free Childcare?

Tax-Free Childcare is the current government scheme open to all eligible working families, whether employed or self-employed.

For every £8 you pay into your online account, the government adds £2—up to £2,000 per child per year, or £4,000 if your child is disabled.

You can use your Tax-Free Childcare account to pay for:

  • Nursery fees

  • Top-up fees on funded sessions

  • Extra sessions, meals, or trips

To be eligible, both parents (or a single parent) must be working and earning at least £152 per week (if over 23), but less than £100,000 per year.

You can apply and manage your account here: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

How to Use Your Vouchers or Tax-Free Childcare Account

Using your childcare vouchers or Tax-Free Childcare account at Excel Child Care Services is simple:

  1. Contact Your Provider
Log in to your childcare voucher portal or Tax-Free Childcare account and add Excel Child Care Services as your childcare provider.

  2. Inform Our Office
Let us know once payment has been arranged so we can allocate it to your child’s account. Please include your child’s name as a reference.

  3. Pay in Advance
All payments must be received in advance of your child attending nursery. This ensures continuity of care and secures your child’s place.

  4. Receipts & Statements
We can provide monthly receipts and statements for your records or to assist with any benefit claims.

If you’re not sure how to set this up, we’re happy to guide you step-by-step.

Supporting You Every Step of the Way
